Sports web site company Active Athlete Inc. changed its name to Sportgenic.
The San Francisco company runs sports-themed web sites and sells advertising on them to make its money. The name change reflects a broadening of its focus to fans of sports rather than just to athletes who play them.
Robert Tas is Sportgenic's CEO.
