Robert M. Tas
- President and CEO
Prior to founding Sportgenic®, Robert was most recently senior vice president of media and technology at 24/7 Real Media, where he was responsible for significantly increasing revenues to $23 million. During his tenure, Robert established a Strategic Account Selling group, as well as closing transactions with Marketwatch.com, USAToday, Discovery, 800Flowers and others. Previously, Robert also helped launch Tacoda Systems, Inc., a behavioral targeting software and network firm. He began his sales, marketing and management career in 1989, working in the enterprise software market with companies such as Sybase, Commerce One and Finjan. He has managed business in excess of $80 million and 100+ employees. The founding principles Robert Tas used to build Sportgenic are still a cornerstone of the company today.
In addition to his professional qualifications, Robert has been involved in the sports community for years. In 2003, he co-founded and served on the Board of Directors of the Triathlon Association of New York City, one of the country's largest triathlon clubs. He also frequently participates in running and triathlon events around the world. Through the years, he has competed in numerous endurance events, including three New York City marathons and two Ironman triathlons.

Peter Bassett
- Senior Vice President of Operations
As SVP of Operations, Bassett is responsible for critical facets of business operations including partner relations, client management, ad solutions, and strategic network development. Bassett also brings extensive experience in building and managing social networks, content sites, classifieds internet sites and ad networks.
Most recently, Mr. Bassett served as senior vice president of global sales for Millennial Media, a mobile ad network and ad solutions company boasting the largest mobile ad network in the U.S. Prior to Millennial Media, he was the senior vice president of advertising sales, operations and production at Community Connect, Inc. Bassett developed his business management, sales and marketing careers in the U.S. and overseas through various positions with multinational companies and small technology start-ups. He holds a B.A. from St. Michael's College and has done post-graduate work at the University of Michigan School of Business and Wharton School of Business.In his downtime, you can find Peter on the golf course during the summer months and braving The Rockies, Cascades, or Sierras during the winter months fulfilling his passion for downhill skiing and winter sports. Peter makes a point to travel and enjoy time with his children - both of whom are attending leading universities in Colorado and Oregon, respectively.

Patrick Coulson
- Chief Technology Officer
Patrick is the CTO and oversees all technology development at Sportgenic®. He leads the direction, strategy and development of the platform and all other technology that the company builds for our publishers and advertisers. Prior to Sportgenic®, Pat was founder, CEO and president of GolfBuzz, Inc., developers of innovative publishing tools and technologies dedicated to the golf community. The company was acquired by Sportgenic® in late 2007 to extend the GolfBuzz technology across all of its sports channels, enabling publishers and brands to more easily connect their audience with other like-minded people, desirable information on their passion, and associated products and services.
In addition to GolfBuzz, Patrick worked as a software consultant for Home Depot. His past career experience includes time at Silicon Graphics, Cisco Systems and Apple Computer. He was also the CTO of PureCarbon, his first start-up which he founded in June 1999. Before being sold in 2002, PureCarbon focused on providing Human Resources solutions to Corporate 1000 clients and was the winner of the 2001 HR Executive Magazine's Product of the Year for its JobPlanet software. Patrick graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Computer Engineering. Patrick recently moved back to the West Coast from Atlanta and is currently living in the Bay Area.

Scott Kinghorn
- Vice President of Product Management
Scott is responsible for defining the software we create for our media partners and marketers. This process includes creating our software strategy, business requirements, functional design and managing quality assurance.
Prior to joining Sportgenic®, Scott served as the Vice President of Product Design at Del Mar Database, a privately owned company which develops mortgage banking software for small to medium lenders. Scott was responsible for designing the software suite built around the award winning DataTrac mortgage banking platform. The software suite transformed from a legacy application to an enterprise suite built upon the .NET framework within two years during Scott's tenure. The new software suite enabled the company to significantly increase revenue, leading to its purchase by Fiserv.
Scott's first start-up experience was with PureCarbon where he served as the Vice President of Software Design. Before being sold in 2002, PureCarbon focused on providing Human Resources solutions to Corporate 1000 clients and was the winner of the 2001 HR Executive Magazine's Product of the Year for its JobPlanet software.
Scott is a sports enthusiast who enjoys surfing, swimming, running and cycling. Scott competes in the occasional triathlon, but you are more likely to find him at an open water event.

Yvonne Kao
- Vice President of Finance
Yvonne Kao oversees all budgeting, accounting and financial reporting for Sportgenic. As VP of Finance, she is an active member of the corporate management team and is responsible for the development and implementation of short and long-term strategic planning with that group.
She has over 10 years of financial leadership experience, in large with high-growth and private equity backed companies. Prior to joining Sportgenic, Yvonne worked at Palm Inc. as the Controller for the U.S. region, at Universal Music Group as Director of Finance of Digital Services, and as the Finance Manager for eGain Communications. She received her MBA from the University of Maryland in Finance and Strategic Management, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Purdue.
