SPORTGENIC HAS GATHERED some of the most qualified executives across the sports marketing, technology and advertising industries to serve on the team and lead the company. These seasoned sports marketers bring years of experience, management and leadership to Sportgenic and are dedicated to offering the highest customer satisfaction experience and the most exciting culture for employees. In addition to business experience, the team of advisors shares the same passion for sport as the founder and employees of the company - we are all sports enthusiasts. As a result of their commitment and proficiency, Sportgenic is well poised for the future.

Robert M. Tas - President and CEO

Prior to founding Sportgenic, Robert was most recently senior vice president of media and technology at 24/7 Real Media, where he was responsible for significantly increasing revenues to $23 million. During his tenure, Robert established a Strategic Account Selling group, as well as closing transactions with Marketwatch.com, USAToday, Discovery, 800Flowers and others. Previously, Robert also helped launch Tacoda Systems, Inc., a behavioral targeting software and network firm. He began his sales, marketing and management career in 1989, working in the enterprise software market with companies such as Sybase, Commerce One and Finjan. He has managed business in excess of $80 million and 100+ employees.

In addition to his professional qualifications, Robert has been involved in the sport community for years. In 2003, he co-founded and served on the Board of Directors of the Triathlon Association of New York City, one of the country's largest triathlon clubs. He also frequently participates in running and triathlon events around the world. Through the years, he has competed in numerous endurance events, including three New York City marathons and two Ironman triathlons.

Patrick Coulson - Chief Technology Officer

Patrick is the CTO and oversees all technology development at Sportgenic. He leads the direction, strategy and development of the platform and all other technology that the company builds for our publishers and advertisers. Prior to Sportgenic, Pat was founder, CEO and president of GolfBuzz, Inc., developers of innovative publishing tools and technologies dedicated to the golf community. The company was acquired by Sportgenic in late 2007 to extend the GolfBuzz technology across all of its sports channels, enabling publishers and brands to more easily connect their audience with other like-minded people, desirable information on their passion, and associated products and services.

In addition to GolfBuzz, Patrick worked as a software consultant for Home Depot. His past career experience includes time at Silicon Graphics, Cisco Systems and Apple Computer. He was also the CTO of PureCarbon, his first start-up which he founded in June 1999. Before being sold in 2002, PureCarbon focused on providing Human Resources solutions to Corporate 1000 clients and was the winner of the 2001 HR Executive Magazine's Product of the Year for its JobPlanet software. Patrick graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Computer Engineering. Patrick recently moved back to the West Coast from Atlanta and is currently living in the Bay Area.

Robyn Tas - EVP of Business Development / General Counsel

As an accomplished lawyer with eight years of legal experience, Robyn brings extensive expertise in the areas of contract, corporate, employment, entertainment and intellectual property law, as well as defense of small and large corporate clients in complex litigation. Robyn is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and Suffolk University Law School.

A sports enthusiast for years, Robyn has been horseback riding since childhood and continues to enjoy equestrian activities as an adult. She also played youth softball, basketball and soccer, playing softball through high school. In college, Robyn studied nutrition and fitness and began weight training, an activity she continues today several times per week. Robyn also enjoys biking, running and swimming.

T.J. Kelly - General Manager, SgDIRECT

As general manager, T.J. is responsible for leading the sales, marketing and technology efforts to endemic advertisers. Prior to Sportgenic, T.J. served as vice president of marketing for LookSmart, an online advertising and technology company, where he was responsible for the marketing and growth of the company's self-service advertisers. During his tenure, he and his team added thousands of new advertisers and increased the average monthly spend per advertiser by 60%. His more than 13 years of experience includes developing and executing sales and marketing strategies in a wide range of industries, including technology, sports, travel, mortgage banking and real estate for companies such as Anheuser-Busch, LookSmart and Intrawest.

Having grown up in Squaw Valley, California, near Lake Tahoe, T.J. is passionate about downhill skiing, water skiing, cycling and mountain biking. He also is an enthusiastic sports fan who can be seen on the sidelines of triathlons, marathons, ski races and major sporting events cheering on friends, amateurs and pro athletes.

Marti Funk - Vice President of Client Solutions and Insights

Marti is responsible for overseeing strategic relationships with leading agencies and brand marketers by offering guidance and insight via research, trends and value-added services. Marti is an experienced strategic marketer, a respected peer in the agency world and a valuable addition to Sportgenic. She is focused and dedicated to ensuring that the company's advertisers and agency partners have all the insight and tools required to be successful with Sportgenic.

Funk has a decade worth of experience in online marketing, emerging media and digital merchandising. Most recently, she served as vice president, digital distribution and partner strategy for Real Branding. Her clients included ABC Daytime, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Anheuser-Busch (InBev), Unilever's Lipton Tea, Levis Strauss Signature and the Darden Restaurant Group. For these companies, she was instrumental in developing digital brand strategy and media roadmaps using consumer insights, competitive assessment and partnership opportunities. Marti has used her media expertise in a number of other roles, including media director for CARAT Fusion, e-commerce marketing specialist for PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc., and a digital media strategist/analyst for LOT21.

With a passion for team sports such as volleyball and softball, as well as backcountry skiing, hiking, surfing and outrigger paddling, Marti is the perfect fit for her new role in a company devoted to active, lifestyle sports.
