Stewart Alsop - Partner, Alsop Louie Partners

Stewart Alsop is partner of Alsop Louie Partners, a venture capital fund focused on helping entrepreneurs start companies. He was a general partner with New Enterprise Associates through 2004 and lead that firm's investments in companies such as TiVo, Portola Communications (sold to Netscape), Glu Mobile, and Xfire. During that time, he also wrote a column for Fortune. Prior to NEA, Alsop was Editor in Chief of InfoWorld, a weekly newspaper for information-technology professionals. He also published PC Letter, a fortnightly newsletter for computer industry insiders, and produced the Agenda and Demo conferences for executives of companies in the computer industry. Before 1985, he served in several executive editorial positions at business and trade magazines, including Inc. magazine. Alsop graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles.

David Hills - President and CEO, LookSmart

Now a strategic business consultant, David Hills was formerly Chief Executive Officer for LookSmart since October 2004, where he led a successful transition of the company, spearheading the launch of Vertical Search. A new media veteran, Dave has nearly 25 years of experience in media sales and operations, with extensive experience in online advertising, search marketing, paid listings and subscriptions.

Prior to joining LookSmart, Dave served as President of Media Solutions for 24/7 Real Media, overseeing its domestic media, search and technology. Before 24/7 Real Media, Dave was Chief Operating Officer and President of Sales for About, Inc., which owned About.com and the pay-per-click service, Sprinks.

Previously, Dave held various media executive positions for subsidiaries of Cox Enterprises, including Cox Interactive Media, which owns and operates a network of local content Web sites; Cox Interactive Sales, which operated an Internet advertising network; and Telerep, a television advertising sales representation firm and a division of Cox Broadcasting.

Peter C. Horan - President and CEO, IAC Media and Advertising

Peter Horan has an extensive background in advertising and publishing. As the current CEO of IAC Search and Media, Horan leads a group of businesses that includes Ask.com, CitySearch, eVite, Consumer Applications, and the Advertising Solutions group. Previously he was President and CEO of AllBusiness.com, one of the most comprehensive sources of businesses advice and information on the Web. He joined that company following the successful sale of About.com, Inc. to the New York Times Company for $410 million in March 2005.

From 2000-2003,Horan served as CEO of DevX, Inc., a venture-funded web media company that was ultimately acquired by Jupitermedia Corporation. Prior to DevX, he was senior vice president of International Data Group (IDG), where he spearheaded that company’s strategic relations with the top tech companies on a worldwide basis. He was also publisher of Computerworld, IDG’s flagship publication. Before IDG, Horan was a senior vice president and group director at Ogilvy & Mather, managing the Microsoft worldwide advertising account. Horan was also part of the management team at one of Silicon Valley’s pioneer technology agencies, Tycer Fultz Bellack, which was sold to BBDO.

Horan earned a BA in English from Santa Clara University and a MBA from San Francisco State University. He has served as an instructor at San Francisco State’s business school and Seattle University’s graduate school of business.

Robert M. Tas - President and CEO, Sportgenic, Inc.

Prior to founding Sportgenic, Robert was most recently senior vice president of media and technology at 24/7 Real Media, where he was responsible for significantly increasing revenues to $23 million. During his tenure, Robert established a Strategic Account Selling group, as well as closing transactions with Marketwatch.com, USAToday, Discovery, 800Flowers and others. Previously, Robert also helped launch Tacoda Systems, Inc., a behavioral targeting software and network firm. He began his sales, marketing and management career in 1989, working in the enterprise software market with companies such as Sybase, Commerce One and Finjan. He has managed business in excess of $80 million and 100+ employees.

In addition to his professional qualifications, Robert has been involved in the sport community for years. In 2003, he co-founded and served on the Board of Directors of the Triathlon Association of New York City, one of the country's largest triathlon clubs. He also frequently participates in running and triathlon events around the world. Through the years, he has competed in numerous endurance events, including three New York City marathons and two Ironman triathlons.

Vince Vannelli - General Partner, KPG Ventures

Vince Vannelli has over 20 years of operational, technology sales and business development experience, including leadership positions at several global technology companies. From 1997 to 2000, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Network Products Division of Inktomi Corporation. Prior to that position, Vince was responsible for all Inktomi sales as Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations. Before his work with Inktomi, Vince spent eight years at Hitachi Data Systems where he held multiple positions, including Senior Vice President and General Manager, United States. He directed Hitachi's sales channels, service, and field marketing departments and was responsible for a $1.2 billion revenue base. Prior to joining Hitachi, Vince worked for IBM Corporation where he spent eight years in various sales and marketing leadership roles throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

As a venture capitalist and technology investor, Vince has been involved with investments in companies such as Baidu (BIDU), Truveo (acquired by AOL Timewarner) and Evil Twin/Doppelganger. Vince currently serves on the Board of Directors of Doppelganger and Abazab. In addition, he is an advisor to Ludic Labs, Qwaq and Sphere.

Vince holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering, both from Stanford University.
